A summer tradition is the Vineyard Cup hosted by Sail Martha’s Vineyard. The event began 11 years ago with the honorary commodore, Walter Cronkite, founder of Sail MV. This 3-day event held at the beginning of July attracts a wide variety of boats from a wide variety of places.

This year Warriors were aboard USMMA Sailing Foundation boat, Metolius. Here’s a few words from the team on day 2:

“Today was epic. Beautiful sunny day with 15-20 knots to end the afternoon. Spinnaker didn’t want to stay in one piece. So we stuck to 2 sails for the rest of the day. Ben missed a mark on the course directions and we had to return to a mark. Which really put us behind. Ben’s post race comments, “Sorry team. I totally screwed up. But we got to practice more sailing!”

Summer fun in the Northeast.
