Vestas 11th Hour Racing has just completed another milestone in their training program for the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18. Over the last four weeks, they have competed in Leg 0, consisting of the Around The Isle of Wight Race, the Rolex Fastnet Race, and two Volvo Ocean Race specific events from Plymouth – St. Malo, and finally, St. Malo – Lisbon. Vestas 11th Hour Racing demonstrated consistent improvement in each event, culminating with a win in the final stage from St. Malo to Lisbon.

The team is now taking a short break while the boat is undergoing a full-service haul out. The team will resume training in early September, based out of Lisbon, and eventually make their way to Alicante, Spain for the start. The official start of the Volvo Ocean Race is October 22, 2017.
